Part 4 — Report Details · Chapter 4.3

Work Order Counts by Customer

This chapter explains the Work Order Counts by Customer report. The rules every report shares are in chapter 4.1.

What it shows

How many work orders each customer had made in each month, quarter or year. The columns stack, so each customer is a slice of the period’s total.

What you need to do to make it work

Nothing has to be entered on the work order. One setting matters:

  1. Map your cancelled statuses. An administrator opens Reports > Setup > Milestone Mapping, ticks each status that means the job was called off, presses Map Selected… and picks Cancelled. Until then, cancelled work orders count like any other.

Where the data comes from

The same work orders as Work Order Counts.

How it is worked out

Each work order counts as 1, for its customer, in the period it was made. The title says how many customers it found in the range.

What counts

The same rules as Work Order Counts. The customer is the work order’s customer now. If you move a work order to another customer, it moves in the report after the next copy.

Which date puts it in a period

The date the work order was made, as for Work Order Counts.

Options

  • Show Top keeps the customers with the most work orders over the whole range.
  • Min Range and Max Range keep only the customers whose total over the whole range falls between them. A customer with 3, 4 and 7 work orders in three months has a total of 14. Min Range 10 keeps all three months for that customer.
  • Show trend draws an average line, as for Work Order Counts.
